Underwater diver-safety and telemetry platform — a vessel-side "mission control" dashboard giving an operator a real-time view of a dive team's depth, distance, heart rate, O2, motion, and threat state from the surface.
Once a diver is underwater, the surface team has no live visibility into their depth, vitals, or position — an operator has no way to tell a diver is in trouble until it's too late. AquaGuard is an IoT wearable concept for closing that gap: a telemetry pipeline surfaced through a real-time mission-control dashboard for the vessel-side operator.
Built by a two-person team, with real depth behind it: a live FastAPI + WebSocket backend, a genuine interactive GPS map rather than a static image, and a device-pairing flow verified end-to-end against a simulated ESP32 client. Frontend deployed on Vercel, backend on Render. AquaGuard was proposed to the MSME ecosystem for funding and support at Saveetha College, Chennai — a proposal, with no funding outcome to report.
Within the two-person team, I built the operator dashboard, the FastAPI backend (REST + WebSocket telemetry, auth, storage), and the deployment pipeline.
Built with React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Recharts, MapLibre GL JS, deck.gl, GSAP, Three.js, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, SQLite, WebSockets, JWT Auth, Vercel, Render.
